What did people do when they read the original sign, saying: “I am blind, please help.”?
Some helped and gave money.
Some might have thought: “So, he is blind. What does this have to do with me?”
Others might have said to themselves: “Stevie Wonder is blind, Andrea Bocelli is blind. They work and don’t beg. This man can work, too!”
A few might have thought: “I don’t have enough money myself. How can I give some to this man?”
Most of the people just passed by and ignored the man and his sign.
Then, with the new sign, the perspective and the results changed. The lady wrote the same, just in different words: “It’s a beautiful day. And I can’t see it!”
These words reached the people on a different level. They realised that they were lucky since they were able to see and fully experience the beautiful day. They were grateful for their lives and wanted to share their wealth, even if it was small! They gave lots of money. And many others followed.
How did this happen?
These words spoke to the people’s hearts!
And this is what I call “feel-good communication”!
